All about Business Visa for the U.S

Who is Eligible for B1 visa?

You must meet the following conditions to qualify for the B1 visa:

· The purpose of your trip should be legitimate in nature.

· You must exit the country upon the expiry of your visa

· You must demonstrate that you have enough funds to cover the expenses of your trip in the U.S.

· You have no intention to reside in the U.S.

What are the documents required?

Please note that there is no quota placed on the B1 visa and the requirements are not as strict as migrant visas for the U.S. The documents you need for the process are:

· Current proof of income, tax payments, property or business ownership, or assets.

· Your travel itinerary and/or other explanation about your planned trip.

· A letter from your employer detailing your position, salary, how long you have been employed, any authorized vacation, and the business purpose, if any, of your U.S. trip.

· Criminal/court records pertaining to any arrest or conviction anywhere, even if you completed your sentence or were later pardoned.

· Employment letter and pay slips for the last three months.

Processing Time for B1 visa?

In general, it takes around three months (90 days) for USCIS to process B1 business visa applications. However, due to the Covid-19 restrictions and application backlog, it’s often taking four to five months to process an application.
